Greed and Giving

Came across this in my email, simple and powerful stuff.

A holy man was having aconversation with God one day and said,
'God , I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of
the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made
the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They
appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to
their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew
and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get
the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the
same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made
the holy man's mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here
the people were well nourished, laughing and talking. The
holy man said, 'I don't understand..'

'It is simple,' said God . 'It requires but one skill.
You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think
only of themselves.'

Class as in classic

Got this amazing bit in email the other day.

I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes (he is 70).
We decided to grab a bite at the food court.
I noticed he was watching someone sitting next to him. The teenager
had spiked hair in all different colors -green, red, orange & blue-
and my dad kept staring at her.
The teen would look over and find my dad staring, every time.
When she'd finally had enough, she sarcastically asked:
"What's the matter old man, never done anything Wild in your life?"
Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so I wouldn't choke on His
response, which I knew would be a great one. In classic style, he
responded without batting an eyelid:
"Got dead drunk years back and had sex with a peacock. I was just
wondering if you were my daughter."

Whats life, luck and luv?

A close friend told me, reality is only about thirst, hunger and death. The only living constants in so called life. Like be a cannibal reality.
So everything's a mind created world.
Gita says, your actions per se have no consequence on the reactions or the reality of your life. When you smoke, its an idea.
You are what you understand. All of the understanding doesn't tell you anything about what you don't understand! You hit the rock bottom and you either wake up or you die. Time goes by, life's stopped. Reality is only another level of a consciousness. If so, why bother adjusting the mind? An addiction is when you are unable to understand.
Incomprehensiblility and an idea are different. They maybe mutually comprehensible but are independent! Lack of understanding is a lot more powerful than understanding. That is why questions mean a lot more than answers.
